RGC (H) Saturday 3rd Sept

Match Preview -

... and if you've yet to collect or purchase your season ticket then you can do so on Saturday. The club is closed on Thursday evening.

Team News:

Team for RGC

Where is Jamie Murphy, Tom O Flaherty this weekend ?

Murphy has hamstring injury.

I Had great hopes for this season but on todays showing i have my doubts. There was nothing in that performance to give any hope of anything but bottom two.I hope im wrong.

No disrespect to rgc but we made them look good in all departments today. Basic rugby yet again! In the programme notes the chairman was hoping for top 8, we'll be be lucky to get off bottom spot even by Christmas on that performance. Same year after year filled with hope during the summer and yet when the season starts it emptied quicker than when it was filled!!!
thunk the players thought it was won before it kicked off as it was rgc!

Pathetic, totally inept, cannot see us winning a game.
We have not strengthened the team on this performance still keeping faith with players who do not put in Premiership performances, back 5 in pack much to small  to compete at this level. Unbelievably rubbish start to the season.

Very poor start to the season. I don't think RGC are any mugs and will cause some serious problems at this level. They have a strong pack and I was impressed with Botica at 10 who played them into the right areas.

I don't think we looked the same side when Scrivens went off after we started quite professionally in the first 10 minutes. After that, it was rapidly downhill and two mistakes led to two RGC tries which is what you should expect at this level; to be punished for your errors.

Cross Keys has already become a massive game if we are to push on this season. They had a tough defeat at home to Merthyr on Saturday so will be keen to get going. Hopefully the rain holds off this weekend!
