Every club has players randomly tested after games, its WRU policy.

totally agree anyone whoever should get what they get for cheating. WRU do attend randomly and should they get a posative result then good for them as they are doing their jobs correct.

So much for you knowing about it if they hadn't passed. Have you seen the back page of today's Gazette? Silly boys.
"Winger Richard Radford and back row forward Gareth Williams both failed drug tests during the Welsh Premiership clash with Llandovery at Church Bank on March 29th".

Well we don't know if it's for medical reasons yet, it may be as innocent as that. We see what happens.
Heard a number of rumours that Gareth Williams's transfer to Cardiff is dead in the water, could this be why?
Let's wait and see folks.

As there is an appeals process in place and any final decision is not yet reached can we please leave the speculation and condemnation of this alledged incident.
As the article says
| Quote: | BRIDGEND Ravens have suspended two players on suspicion of being involved in drugs.
They now have the choice of a hearing by either a WRU disciplinary panel or via an independent review panel.
It is believed the pair will choose to have their cases heard by the WRU.
However, pending the hearing, they have both been suspended by the Welsh Premiership club. |

We need to be backing our players at a time like this.

Why, should they be found guilty of what they have done then they deserve whats coming to them. The same as Drink Drivers.
Players should know that they are going to be checked randomly and know what the score is should they get found out.
Bye the way apparently 2 other players were tested the other night and were borderline. ANy news on that one?

None. All drug tests are confidential and a matter solely between the player and the testing authority. Until and if a guilty verdict is reached there is no obligation for the player to even tell the club. So how such information can be public is interesting. Who told you?
From a personal standpoint, I am a little baffled as to your use of the term "borderline". Its not like a breathalyser, you've either taken something or not.

Am I the only person to have spotted the irony between this topic and the heading on the news page?

You would have thought so wouldnt you? You'd think thats any illegal substances found in a professional sportsman's body would be enough for a ban etc but apparently they are allowed a certain amount of some chemicals in their urine and some players were just over that limit. At the end of the day, taking drugs is taking drugs regardless of how much and how long ago. What is the point of appealing? If you failed, you failed.

The ads work on a "google bot" system and are completely out of our control. The "bot" scans the thread and puts the most suitable add to fit some key words in the thread. Hence in a thread about drugs you get such an ad as you have seen. This is why the normal threads have random ads about hotels and stuff in Bridgend.

WRU media manager Liz Jones said the tests were carried out by UK Sport, an independent body, but she could not confirm either man had failed.
There are loadsa recreational drugs out there. Do we have any more details of their test results?

It makes you wonder how badly Bridgend would have done this year WITHOUT the assistance of performance enhancing drugs!!
