Yep, 1st half very poor, looked uncertain and a bit shell shocked. Second half they showed no fear and got stuck in. Looked much better and we're a post away from the win.

Nice to see so many old faces back - and despite what hubby said, I was not responsible for that announcement!

Very dis-jointed first half, don't think we knew what hit us to be honest, now we know how hard this league will be.
However, fair play, the second half was a great showing, what an impact Ryan Bevington made , Great build-up to the Lloyd O'Connor try, this was the point where it finally clicked! Grant Epton's try was one of the best we've seen for a long time, superb .
We are a new team dont' forget, playing against one of the best teams in this league and we showed what we can do. I think we'll win more than we'll lose, if we can sustain that for a full 80 mintues. We're getting there everybody
Last point, a good crowd, better than some games last season!

We've got to get the ball away from the breakdown a lot quicker if we want to do anything.
Definitely a lot better second half though after an awful first half.
I think we need to get the ball to Daley on the wing a bit more as he looks quite promising.

narbeth are a very good div 1 team and finished 3rd last year this will be one of the hardest games we shall have.
we started poorly and narbeth where like banjes its goin to be like it all year its every other teams cup final when they play us we have to take that pressure for the first 20mins every game this year they all wont our scalp.
2nd half was very good and our partnerships started working and lineout/scrum functioned well but run out of time.
the kick that hit the post cost us victory in the end.
we are a new team and need time to gel but the 2nd half was very positive i think we shall do ok but it shall be a very tough year..!!
well done narbeth..!!
and keep it up ravens..!!

My apologies!! I was ordered to do it. You can blame Rhydian Cole our resident website guru for the announcment. He put the idea in the powers that be's head!

gutted we lost . second half we were poor in all areas. but second half we showed some great rugby . getting far better ball for the 9 and more flow to the game . bevington added alot of go forward. lets not forget we only have about 3 or 4 players from last year so we are building a new team . bring on the ath next week!!

Second half a vast improvement.
The ball needs to be recycled a lot quicker than it was if you are to compete at this level, indeed ANY level for that matter!!! The ball was soooooooooooooooooooooooo slow at times , I thought it had been sent via Parcelforce.
Narbeth were blowing out their backsides towards the end and were there for the taking. If the ball was released to the backs quicker, we could have won that game (IMHO).
A bit of concern, especially in the first half; were the gaps in defence. Narbeth ran through our lines willy nilly. And before you start by saying "this is a brand new side" or "they need time to gell". I've heard it all before..begining of last season!!!
Excuses need to stop..NOW.

The rugby at times was a better standard than a lot of Premier games last year
Our set pieces in the 1st half were dire but we seemed to gel well in the 2nd and were very unlucky not to score right at the death.
Not too despondent although a win would have been a big boost.
Pity the touch judges are not allowed to intervene at this level as Narbeth loose head would have had a red for an outrageous punch on Mathew Davies.
We are possibly two or three players short of a decnet squad but there were some very encouraginbg signs.
Just a word about the fab job done to Pillars.......congrats all round.
Once the food and beer is sorted, we will have a venue to be proud of.
But to avoid a furcoat and no knickers situation, we will need to get it right on the pitch......the signs were definitely there in the 2nd half.
