Silly mistakes are still hurting us.
I think we should use the backs more, as well.
Another big test next week at Cwmllynfell.

Same old - same old.
Not bad at set piece - better scrum with Rowan and Owen. V poor at securing ball and clearing breakdown area to give backs quick ball. Backs looked reasonable with scraps of decent ball.
Most disappointing news is losing Ricky Williams although Grant looks good when he runs at broken defence. Trouble is he doesn't seem sure when to run and when to kick.
Having said all that we weren't much worse than Bonymaen. Missed easy conversion and they were given a penalty that looked like it missed! That and giving them their try through an individual error was how we lost.
Team needs to get together and talk about tackle area so EVERYONE KNOWS what they should do to win ball whether they are prop, hooker or wing. We are not far from being able to beat very team in this division.
Come on the Bridge!

I think composure is key. And decision making.
It was 14-8 towards the end of the first half and we had a penalty, left of the goal posts and took a quick tap instead of taking the 3 points, Half time could have been 14-11. Then with about 10 minutes to go we had another penalty and we opted for a kick to touch because of the gap between the two teams, this possibly would have resulted in another 3 points, and with the missed conversion it could have been 17-16 or 17-14 with ten minutes to go and who knows what could have happened. Individual errors cost us as well.
A charge down kick cost us a try as well and so composure and decision making or waiting for the captain's decision before going and taking scoring opportunities when they come are crucial.
I think it would be a good idea for some of the ex Bridgend players to talk to the player's perhaps, like JPR or Fenwick, talk about the history of the club, weren't far off beating New Zealand in the 70's!!!!
For every club we play in this division, it is an opportunity for the likes of Cwmlynfell or whatever team to take the scalp of BRIDGENDS regardless of what team it is, cannot underestimate other teams in this division, must realise that. But I believe this Bridgend team will grow together and we've all seen signs of what they can do, let's have some patience!!

I dont think you could complain about lack of talking on Saturday. Mathew Davies was very vocal for a start.
