I think this side is ok, I don't rate Bill Carey, I think we could do worse than not pick him, I quite like seeing Phil Wheeler in there somewhere as he is an older head and we don't have too many of them. Really happy to see Rowan starting, I thought he made a positive impact last week when he came on. I think Tom Hancock should be brought on this week if things go as stale as they were on 50 mins last week.

This is the 8th game of the season, we really need to win at least 5 of our next 7 to make up for the terrible start. There has not been one side in this league yet that have blown me away and I am so shocked that we have lost to some poor sides. I think we need to turn it on now and become a bit more classy in our performance. We are a good side, we do have both good forwards and backs, but we seriously need to start proving it. Let's get behind the boys and help them move onwards and upwards, I don't think we have got a bad side, I just think we need to CLICK and then it will happen.

Come on the Bridge, lets kick start the season and have a really solid 5 games.

And if you look carefully at the 2nd picture on this page, there appears to be some shelter too.

Why isn't it on the front page so that everyone knows? I reckon lots of Bridgend fans will turn up there expecting to see a match.

The person who maintains this website isn't available 24hrs a day, so it's unfair to expect the front page to be up-to-the-minute accurate, but it was in this thread at 10.00am, which should have been ample notice for people.

If people visit the website for news of the game, then I expect they will also read the thread that is specifically about the game.

What sort of communication do you suggest?

I had a few text messages from people, and then passed the message on myself to others.

I don't see how the club can possibly communicate with every single person that they think may want to attend the game.

perhaps a few more people - ideally inckuding the team management - should be involved in keeping the site up to date. rhyd cant be expected to do it on his own!

I don't think it's as easy as that, as it's a website created by a professional company which is a bit difficult to update by others.

Another option may be a text from the supporters club commitee to all members of the supporters club (assuming some of the committee have free texts of course) maybe the list of members numbers could be shared amongst the commitee to pass on urgent info.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

There are plans in place for this to be improved (at no cost to the club).
I do all web updates, marketing etc free of charge for them and am looking at i) the possibility of giving admin rights to update the website to some supporters club officials etc who will be able to update the site at times when I'm not chained to my computer!

seems sensible. personally i'd prefer it if it was an actual club official as it might encourage them to share more of the real news in the club with the supporters. no disrespect to the supporters club officials but they don't know any more about what's happening in the club than the rest if us.
