Excellent win today but wasnt the score 46-50.?

Heiffers scorers - nathan collins x 4, mathew'tich'davies x 3, josh collins and Sid.... kicks - tich x 1 and gareth taylor x 6 = 50.?

Barbars - will markey x 5.? 3 scores.? kicks - will x 7

MOM - Nathan Collins(my opinion)

Heiffers started game at frantic pace and raced into a 18-0 lead after 5 mins with some great play where they put width on the ball and attacked right hane side where nathan collins had a field day..!!

Barbars crawled themselves back into the game with there experiance showing and scored 3 tries thru will markey who seemed to be the on threat to the heiffers.

After the frantic begin the game settled down and i think the scores where 24 all at HT.

The youngsters where superb and where told by there older team mates that no matter what happened from now on in that they can hold there heads up high.

But this only seemed to inspire the 16 year olds and stayed in the game thru out the third period goin tit for tat with scores at one point the barbars went into a 6 point lead. but the youngsters kept plucking away and tich scored the try of the game from 95 yards out and this again inspired the team.

The third period the barbars tried to rough up the young players and tried to take the pace out of the game as the couldnt handle tich and lukes running from the tackle area and the collins twins fantatic strike running from wide out.

The third period carried on tit for tat with the barbars in front by 2 points with 5 mins to go then the decisive try of the game come where half backs tich and taylor spread the ball wide early to nathan collins who had some outstanding tries and runs allready and dominated the right side of the pitch... but this time with 5 mins left he picked the ball up on his own 10 m line shimmered past his opposite winger and out sprinted the covering defence for and outstanding solo try and deservedly picked up mom closely run though between him his bro, will and tich.!! taylor added the extras.!!

The last 3 mins the heiffers controlled the ball well taking play after play but then was penalised for a dodge penalty against tich(still wondering what for now) but the heiffers muscled up in defence and run the clock down and claimed a superb and deserved win..!!

What a performance by the young lads in Blue today!
Tactics were executed immaculately and kept cool under a mountain of pressure until the very end.
The young halfback also captain who scored a hat trick and the experienced stand off combined superbly many time and seemed to bounce off each other in what they did, controlling the game all by themselves.
The jinking right winger had his opposite in his back pocket all game showing some dazzling pace and cheeky steps.
Got to hand it to the leader of the Celtic Barbarians team at stand off. He kept his side in the game all on his own with his sensational dummies finding every gap and punishing the Heifers.
Must say, that this fixture is always tense and the players on the field always making their voices heard putting the referee under pressure on every opportunity. Overall, I hope this fixture continues to be arranged but with less of the stropping after the final whistle has been blown
